The Malaysian team who arrived a week earlier to get use to the time difference in Scotland, are all in high hopes of dominating the whole badminton events even without their superstar and world number 1 player Lee Chong Wei.

Malaysia is the defending champions in the mixed team event, men’s singles, men’s doubles and mixed doubles which they won in the last edition of the games in New Delhi 2010.

For this year squad, most of them are making a debut accept for Chan Peng Soon who will be playing in the men’s doubles and the mixed doubles event.

Chong Wei Feng and Liew Darren has some weight on their shoulders to keep the tradition going. Malaysia has been winning the Men’s singles since 1990.
