Things were looking gloomy for Thailand’s Boonsak Ponsana after Chen Jin equalized in the second game of their semi-final match. The young Chinese shuttler had all the momentum after winning the set 21-4, and few would have thought Ponsana would have the focus to pull things back together, but he managed to continue his amazing run by pulling ahead in the third set winning 21-19 to book himself a place in the finals. He will face Lin Dan who took out Lee Chong Wei in three games 22-20, 21-15, 21-7. Lin Dan will be the obvious favourite for tomorrow’s final, but with a great run so far Ponsana will have some added confidence. Ponsana is the last barrier between China and their clean sweep, so added pressure will be on the three time world champion to bring home the gold.
