3rd seeded Peter Gade convincingly defeated Simon Santoso in two games, 21-12, 21-8 to set up a semi final clash with Kenichi Tago of Japan. Tago beat Chan Yan Kit in three games, winning the third game 21-12. Wang Yihan beat world champion Lu Lan in two games, 21-17, 21-15. Unseeded Wang Xin continues her outstanding form, defeating Pi Hongyan 21-13, 21-18 to set up a semi final clash with Wang Yihan.
