Top seeded Kido and Setiawan crashed out to 6th seeded Chandra and Gunawan in just 21 minutes, 21-11, 21-18. They play Lee and Jung after they beat English pair Clark and Robertson in 58 minutes, winning 17-21, 21-16, 21-16. 7th seeded Paaske and Rasmussen are through to the semi finals after beating Hendra and Hendri 21-16, 21-17. 3rd seeded Peter Gade convincingly defeated Simon Santoso in two games, 21-12, 21-8 to set up a semi final clash with Kenichi Tago of Japan. Tago beat Chan Yan Kit in three games, winning the third game 21-12. Wang Yihan beat world champion Lu Lan in two games, 21-17, 21-15. Unseeded Wang Xin continues her outstanding form, defeating Pi Hongyan 21-13, 21-18 to set up a semi final clash with Wang Yihan.
