Definitely some interesting match ups, ripe with potential upsets in my opinion. The most notable are:

-Simon Santoso vs Jan O Jorgensen

-Bao Chunlai vs Park Sung Hwan

-Dicky Palyama vs Rajiv Ouseph

-Sony Dwi Kuncoro vs Qualifier #3 (this will most likely be Gong Weijie, unless his default from last week is an issue)

-Eric Pang vs Boonsak Ponsana

-Taufik Hidayat vs Andrew Smith

Okay, so I know I just listed off pretty much half of the men’s singles draw, but that just goes to show how much depth the mens singles draw has. I honestly believe that these could all go either way. Obviously there are some strong favourites in there, like Taufik for example, but I really do think that Andrew Smith is just on the verge of breaking through to the next level.
